What is your donation used for?

At this moment, we have 14 Bassets in our care; 8 of them are "lifers" (a lifer is a foster who will remain in our care for the rest of their lives, ususally due to health issues)
Some of our current costs for their care are:
  • Food at $70 per bag (1 bag lasts about 3 days)
  • 1st Vet Visits when they come into our care averages $350.00
  • Dental Cleaning costs about $1,100.00
  • Visits to the groomer (when needed) is $60 -- although most of their grooming needs are taken care of in-house by volunteers, some need a professional touch.
  • And don't forget the everyday expenses such as just keeping the lights on, the bedding fresh, the floors cleaned, and treats.
